Latvian EuroPeers Youth network Gathers together for the Annual Evaluation Event
From November 1 to 2, Latvian EuroPeers met to reflect on their achievements and plan new initiatives for 2026.
The event brought together 16 of the most active local EuroPeers members. Some have been involved for several years, while others joined only this spring. Regardless of how long they’ve been part of the network, all share a common goal – to educate and inspire their peers about EU youth opportunities. These young people are interested in European values, EU related topics, and youth engagement. Their experience stories have already inspired hundreds of youngsters.

The main purpose of the event was to help participants reflect on how being a part of the EuroPeers network has contributed to their personal growth and development, while also strengthening their motivation to continue promoting EU youth programmes through the “youth to youth” approach.

During the event, participants:
-
Identified their learning needs using the Youthpass tool;
-
Explored the YOCOMO ETS competence model to reflect on their skills and personal development;
-
Discussed inclusion and diversity issues through the “Bridges” game created by JSPA, highlighting everyday aspects of accessibility and social diversity.

They also developed the action plan for 2026 and came up with ideas for three co-creation afternoon activities to be implemented next year. Sustainability was also a huge focus – on the first day, lunch took place at the vegan restaurant Kozy Eats, where participants explored sustainable eating habits.

The training was led by JSPA trainer Rinalds Rudzītis and attended by the Latvian EuroPeers network coordinator, Linda Joste Sidorova. At the end of the event, participants received Youthpass certificates acknowledging their gained experience.

In their closing reflections, participants shared:
“The EuroPeers network is powerful, inspiring, and full of action – proof that young people make excellent peer educators!”
“The Latvian EuroPeers network has the most amazing team! It was wonderful to collaborate, connect, and exchange ideas.”
“EuroPeers inspires me deeply – I’m proud to be an active EU citizen!”
