From EVS to EuroPeers: what a journey!
How the EVS changed my life?
My EVS opened me to a new country which I knew pretty much nothing about, a new language with whom I fell in love and also discovered a new professional field, museology.
Indeed, I was a volunteer in Lithuania, in Vilnius Toy Museum which hosts toys from Middle-Ages until 20th century.

It enabled me to make a change in my career and to get straight after a part-time job working in another Toy museum in my home country. It changed my life because it changed the way I perceive things, travelling and living abroad with growing openness and cultural awareness. The EVS was also my first experience abroad as a volunteer with reduced mobility and showed me what I was able to do and to achieve in spite of health issues – Real skills for life!
Besides, the world of Erasmus+ allowed me to enter the world of International Training Courses which led me to the EuroPeers. I joined the EuroPeers French network in March 2021. Since then, I could reunite with the international networks, plan and take part in many events and meet people from all over Europe. I feel now I really want to promote E+ and encourage young people to take part in this adventure, especially the ones with fewer opportunities, including the ones with disabilities.
I’m at the moment, part of the EuroPeers Advisory Group (EAG) which is a perfect way of tackling topics that mean a lot to me, inclusion and sustainability on the other hand among many other things. Indeed ,we have furthermore a consultancy role and can give advice on networks progress and improvement.
I now really feel included in the EuroPeers international network and hope for the future to join the EuroPeers as a professional activity or keep volunteering.
Anything can happen with the EuroPeers…
