Meet the New EuroPeers International Network Coordinators: Peeter Lusmägi and Kai-Ines Nelson
Exciting news for the EuroPeers community! From mid-October, Peeter Lusmägi and Kai-Ines Nelson, have started in their new joint role as international network coordinators. Together, they’ll be helping to connect, inspire and support the EuroPeers 14 national networks across Europe.
Peeter is the Founder and CEO of Smartopedia – an organisation that brings people and ideas together to make learning and innovation happen. He holds a PhD degree in sociology, and has a long-standing experience in the fields of sport, youth work and community development, with a passion to create opportunities and empower young people to grow, collaborate, and make a difference in society.
Joining him is Kai-Ines, a PR and communications expert at Smartopedia, with a strong background in PR and international relations in both public and private sector. Kai-Ines has a background in English philology, she loves storytelling and creative ways of bringing people together, fostering understanding and exchange of ideas.
Together, Peeter and Kai-Ines will share the Network Coordination role, supporting national networks, promoting peer learning, and helping EuroPeers to stay connected and visible across Europe.
“We’re excited to build on what makes EuroPeers special — openness, collaboration, and the energy that comes from young people working together for positive change,” Peeter says.
“EuroPeers is such a unique community,” Kai-Ines says. “We can’t wait to help the network become even more close-knit and stronger — and are very excited to meet some of you already in the beginning of February 2026, at our next Annual EuroPeers Meeting in Bucharest!”
Kai-Ines will be the main contact person for the national coordinators and the EuroPeers alumni, whereas Peeter will be leading and handling the administrative and budget related tasks.
