Highlights of the ANM – Highlights of the Polish culture
Dziękuję i do widzenia! A Polish journey

Besides being really inspired by the ANM session and the incredible ideas and projects that emerged during the gathering, I was also thrilled by all the cultural offers proposed by the National Agency.
Indeed, from the first night we were immersed into Polish language with a quick lesson and interactive activities around Polish culture thanks to our great trainer!
Then, we had a fabulous guided tour of Gdansk city in which we explored the main pedestrian street: Dluga street while enjoying history facts and beautiful river views of the Motlawa. It gave me more insights about the history and architecture and I enjoyed knowing a bit more of the city that hosted us throughout the ANM.
The visit to the European Centre of Solidarity gave us a glimpse into the history of the movement ‘Solidarnosc’ and the birth of unions in Poland.
Last but not least, the cherry on the cake was the marvellous concert of Remont Pomp, an inclusive band keen on improvisation and sound experiments, formed by members with and without disabilities. They take inspiration from African and avant-garde music, using various objects as percussive instruments for an either aerial or more rhythmic moment.
Finally, I must say I spent a few extra days in Gdansk to appreciate the city on my own. That journey led me to the discovery of the beautiful Amber Museum, THE Baltic gold! I was also able to test the most famous ‘pierogis’ and to go on a cruise. Beautiful sceneries, historical churches and amazing gemstones made my day.
Just one word or maybe two: Dziękuję i do widzenia!
