Latvian “EuroPeers” youth participate in the organizer team of the “Project Night 2025” festival.

Since March 2025, EuroPeers youth have actively joined the “Project Night 2025” festival organiser team with other active and motivated young people.

“Project Night 2025” took place this year in Liepāja – the Latvian Youth Capital 2025 – bringing together 100+ young people from across Latvia to create, collaborate, and explore EU programme opportunities. Since the event is for youth, JSPA decided to actively involve them by forming a youth organiser team to make it not only for youth, but also by youth.

Over the past four months, three EuroPeers members – Laila Ozola, Laila Jansone, and Eva Evelīna Kļaviņa – have been active in the team.

Activities:
To inspire and share more about youth opportunities in Europe, EuroPeers members Leandra Spriesle, Rolāns Vozņesenskis, and Evelīna Bileskalne joined the “Project Night 2025” team on the event day. They led the Eurodesk large-scale game “Adventures in Europe” and were also responsible for creating and organising the night track.

In the night track, participants took on the role of travellers in the European Commission’s “DiscoverEU” initiative – using acting skills and imagination to portray unusual travel situations and solutions. This activity not only made people laugh but also recharged and excited participants who had already been working for hours on their project ideas! At the next checkpoint, young people imagined their dream youth exchange project, becoming its organisers themselves. Finally, the track ended with a quiz on youth opportunities in Europe, testing their knowledge – and, of course, there were prizes for the winners at the end of “Project Night”!

EuroPeers were not only part of the organiser team but also active “Project Night 2025” participants – Ainis Kuzņecovs and Alise Madara Māzika attended to develop their own project ideas throughout the night.

EuroPeer Laila Ozola shared her thoughts on the experience:

“The event was powerful, inspiring, and memorable, where new friendships and ideas were born. After ‘Project Night,’ we felt pleased and inspired to be part of something so amazing – and we hope to meet again next year.”
