“Poland in EU: opportunities for young people” – session in Lublin, Poland
Hi! My name is Kaja and I have been part of EuroPeers Poland network for over a year now. This month I got a chance to lead a session at Catholic Uni of Lublin.
At the invitation of the Schuman Creative Leaders Scientific Circle, I arrived to the Catholic University of Lublin on 14 May to lead a session on “Poland in the European Union: Opportunities for young people”.
As part of the student event “International Forum”, during an hour-long session, I discussed with the audience about opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. The aim was to make students and academic workers aware that there are many opportunities for development – you just need to show initiative, take action or be on the lookout for them.
I explained the role of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System as the Polish National Agency for Erasmus+ and ESC, presented ways of searching for European development opportunities, such as portal SALTO Youth, and gave examples of solidarity projects that were implemented in Lublin (as I have been involved in some of them).
After the presentation, the organisers and participants of the Forum expressed satisfaction with the lecture and stated that their knowledge of European opportunities had been increased!
It just so happened that the session was recorded and then published on YouTube, so – if you’re curious how it went, see for yourself!
